Best turn based site?
There seem to be a lot of options for turn based (or correspondence) shogi. Does anyone have a recommendation on which one to join?
Besides the ones posted already I have heard of brainking and goldtoken, but I haven't joined any yet.

Re: Best turn based site?
Well PlayOK.com is the biggest one since most of us play Shogi there.
Other than that, for board games, I haven't heard much else besides maybe Yahoo Games. I do play Pokemon metagame however, but that's not a board game xD, although strategy is still deeply involved (and it's fun)

Sorry maybe I wasn't clear enough. I only meant sites where you make a move and then can go away and wait for the next move (since you usually have to make a move only once a day or less). So live sites like playOK don't count.

Re: Best turn based site?
Although Brainking has a large shogi community, it only offers 9x9 shogi. Richard's Play-By-eMail server is my favorite site to play on. Although it's called a play-by-email server, that's actually only one of the ways you can play there. For Shogi, Chu Shogi, Dai Shogi, and Tenjiku Shogi (as well as many of the other games on the site) there's a webpage interface where you can click the piece then it's destination and submit your move without having to send your move in emails.

Hi TKR101010.
I was posting at Blender Artists as Incredulous Yak and you mentioned Richard's Play-By-eMail server in that xiangqi thread. Still need to sign up.
It's amusing how small the internet is.
