Maddening tsumeshogi
... well, at least for a beginner like me. This one certainly took me a while:
http://homepage2.nifty.com/koheran/tana/002.html
Can anyone confirm this solution?
1. G*2d
2. K-1b
3. G-2c
4. Kx2c (can't be Kx1a, or S*2b would mate)
5. +B-3c
6. K-1c
7. S*1d
8. K-1b (can't be Kx1b, or +B-2d would mate)
9. +S-2c
10. K-2a
11. +S-2b
Gah, and I was thinking that page was for beginners...

Re: Maddening tsumeshogi
Wow, that one is tough. Your moves appear to be correct. The ending move can also be 11. +B-2b, of course. Very good problem.
Re: Maddening tsumeshogi
Yeah, it comes from this page:
http://homepage2.nifty.com/koheran/tana_e.html
The first one is nice but not too bad (it's the same problem that's in your wikipedia Tsumeshogi article), so I thought the second one would be at most a 3-mover. Guess I'd better look for easier problems elsewhere...

Re: Maddening tsumeshogi
5. Which bishop? You should mention that. (By the way, it was B1a-3c+)
And I got it
And I got it

Ooops... I thought that was implicit, since only one of the bishops can be promoted. Thanks for pointing that out!

Congrats!
