Standard for (written) Shogi Diagrams?
Hi,
there are a lot of shogi-books (at least in japanese language ) and they have a lot of diagrams.
Q: Is there a standard about the design (font) of this diagrams?
Regardless the answer is yes or no, I think we should create such a standard if not already existing.
For example this one: example.
Here the pieces are without Squiggles. For example look at the Gold: the bottom line is horizontally.
Or mayb this one example.
This one has more Squiggles. The bottom line of the gold is in a curve.
Of course the font should be created in VECTORFORMAT (not bitmap).
I believe I hadn't to say, that it must be free.
For myself I would prefere (need) SVG.
The only useable vectorfont I've found is this (using only the upper Kanji).
While thinking about improving this font, I recognized the design (lines) of it.
So I ask, how should the standard-shogi-font for diagrams look like?
Maybe someone able creating good art and familar with japanese Kanjis (I only could take one - for example a bitmap or photo - and create the vectorfont using them), like to create one or had already created one (as vectorformat )?
Your opinion?

I got an answer for this question from one of my friends who is a shogi writer. According to him, each publisher has its font. No standard exists about the design of shogi diagrams.
