The game can be replayed at http://www.playok.com/en/game.phtml?gid=sg&pid=335858&app=1.
regicide chose static Rook(Ibisha). I think his 5. S7i-6h 8. S6h-5g and 14. R2h-3h were in question.
S7i-8h G6i-7h G4i-5h G5h-6g would have been better for Gote's attack on the 8th file. You might develop it to Yagura Castle such as B7g-6h and then S8h-7g, or you might build Silver Crown(Gin Kanmuri) castle after Gote's Rook pawn trade such as P-8f Px8f Bx8f Bx8f Rx8f S-8g R-8b P*8f. Both castles would be very robust and not be easy to be collapsed.
8.S6h-5g, If he liked to advance his Silver to 5g, then it would have been much better to move his right Silver there(S4h-5g). It's usual to move the King to the opposite side of the Rook and to use the two Golds and a Silver for building a castle, the left Silver should be mostly used for defense in the Opening of static Rook which means it should be located on 8th, 7th or 6th file. If he moved his left Silver to 6g instead of 8.S6h-5g, it could have not allowed Gote's Rook to take the Pawn on 7f later.
Since the square of 3d was already protected by Gote's two generals, 14. R2h-3h was a less effective move. Keeping it on 2h and aiming at trading pawns and Silvers on 2d would have been better. And this Rook's move allowed Gote to drop Bishop on 4i with threatening to take it later.
I do not know if he resigned the game. But if he did, it's too early. After 22. P*8h, he could have killed Gote's Bishop such as N-7g P-8i+ K-5i. I think Gote led the position but it's not decisive yet.

Re: regicide vs nutaboutit
Thank you very much for your analysis Takodori-san. Yes he resigned and yes I think he did too early as well. I also saw your alternative for killing off my bishop and was hoping he'd bite on the pawn drop. Either way it's not a mate at this stage but I guess you could say the differences in castle strength might be a bit too much for sente at the final position.
Re: regicide vs nutaboutit
Wasn't technically "early". I'm pretty sure that you were about 20 minutes ahead in time lol. I took too long to think. That was again one of the first games I played.
I resigned not only because of I was down but back then I was BAD. Lol. I believe this was during the time when my rating was around 1140.
And I was at like 10 minutes? You had about 25+. Hehe.
Thanks for the analysis anyways, but one question:
Please answer. Thanks!

Thanks for the analysis anyways, but one question:
What's a good way to build Gin Kamuri on the Bishop's side? Furthermore, isn't that castle very weak if attacked from the back?takodori wrote:...or you might build Silver Crown(Gin Kanmuri) castle after Gote's Rook
