Although I would like people to give comments about my playing as well, TheTorterraKing is a fairly new shogi player. Obviously at the end he gave me two of the most important pieces for free, but here's the analysis. Let's mainly analyze the moves before Turn 22.

I'll give my comments for specific moves. Numbering will be based on PlayOK's paired numberings so I don't have to keep recounting the moves.

7. S-2h This was a bad move for many reasons. Not only does it stop (or delay) your construction of a proper Mino Castle, it also blocks you from the possibility of Anaguma and creates a dangerous Silver Wall, which will block your King's escape route in the endgame.

11. S-4h Moving the Silver all the way from 7i to 4h was a complete waste of moves. You used 3 moves for castling when you could have simply used two moves to play G-5i and then G(L)-4h, buying one move for an attack.

12. G-6g This is a good idea. Because you used a silver to castle, using a gold to attack leaves your attacking force with enough power to break the opponent's camp.

15. G-7g I would most certainly label this as a series of bad moves. You had a good defense structure with the bishop and gold working together. Look at this image:

Your bishop was doing 2 jobs: Defending the 8f square AND threatening the gote's king's diagonal. For the moment you didn't have to worry about defending the bishop; the gold had its weak spot defended already.

I don't think I need to analyze past this, since your game completely fell apart here.

In order to not discourage you from playing, I'll also point out what you did correctly.

1. You kept the King and Rook far away from each other.

You should always be sure to keep the king away from the rook, since your rook is going to be caught up in the battlefield. You don't want your king in the battlefield as well.

2. You castled your King.

Although arguably not the best castle structure, you still took the time to create a defense of 3 generals around your king. The fact that you took the time to do this indicates that you're starting to have a good sense of shogi.

Yup. That move made it seems like the King was defending the Silver rather than the other way around. Unless I start an edge attack on that side, that kind of defensive Silver is not necessary. I obviously wouldn't start an edge attack there because I have an Anaguma castle in that corner.

Actually, I don't think it's a bad move, although the bishop leave's the King's diagonal because I was planning on a Silver attack, so then I will have 4 attacking pieces after the Bishop to 4b move: Pawn, Bishop, Rook and Silver.

Without Gold to 7g, TTK would only have 3 pieces defending that the 8f square: Bishop, Pawn, Rook, and I can break his 8th file. With a Bishop-supported Gold, he would have 4 pieces too. However, I can always clear off the pieces and still move first, making a rapid attack while he has nearly no firepower left afterwards.

After that, Turn 18 was completely pointless. Bishop to 5i... Why?!

I meant to indicate that this whole series of moves, starting with B-6h, was bad, not just G-7g. And I don't think you would have been able to break his camp that easily; Opposing Rook is a great block against Static Rook.
